Iður er nýtt íslenskt tónleikhúsverk byggt á sönnum atburðum þar sem við kynnumst Mark Kennedy, lögreglumanni og fjölskylduföður. Þetta er þó einungis það sjálf sem er á yfirborðinu, því hann er uppljóstrari í leynum. Velt er upp spurningum varðandi raunveruleikann, sjálfsímynd og stað okkar í tilverunni. Inn í þetta fléttast aríur og kórlög við texta eftir endurreisnarskáldið John Donne, og hafa þau að leiðarstefi innri baráttu mannsins og spurningar um lífið og dauðann.

Sviðssetning
Verkið, sem er byggt á sönnum atburðum, fjallar um lögreglumanninn Mark Kennedy sem starfaði sem uppljóstrari meðal aktivista á Englandi og víðsvegar um Evrópu á árunum 2003 – 2010. Hann var ein stærsta auðlind yfirvalda á þessu tímabili í baráttu þeirra gegn undirrótaröflum sem börðust fyrir m.a. umhverfismálum. Á þessum árum komst hann inn í innsta hring aktivistanna og stofnaði til langtíma sambands í dulargervi. Á sama tíma var hann giftur barnsmóður sinni sem bjó á Írlandi með tveimur börnum þeirra.
Hann átti mjög erfitt oft með að greina á milli þessara tveggja lífa þegar hann var í leyfi hjá fjöldskyldunni, en
hann gat ekkert sagt frá því hvað hann viðhafðist við þau. Eini aðillinn sem hann gat talað við um bæði sín líf var
tengiliðurinn hans hjá lögreglunni. Þegar upp komst um Mark þá var hann fenginn til yfirheyrslu hjá aktivistunum þar sem hann sagði allt af létta. Þessi yfirheyrsla er sögusvið verksins, þar sem aðstæðurnar í yfirheyrslunni eru færðar mikið í stílinn. Textinn er að miklu leyti unnin upp úr fundnu efni þ.e.a.s. spjallþráðum, handbókum og fleiri textasöfnum sem voru að fást við þau vandamál sem komu upp í kringum afhjúpun þeirra lögreglumanna sem fóru huldu höfði á meðal aktivista.
Mark Kennedy var einn þessara lögreglumanna og er það eitt af markmiðum sýningarinnar að skyggnast inn í hans innra sálarlíf í gegnum skáldskap og stílfæringar.
